Good News

Witness: Have you ever felt overwhelmed by a situation and felt unsure how to resolve it?

Non-Witness: Sure, I have experienced that occasionally.

Witness: Perhaps you wished there was someone who could explain just what to do. I am happy to tell you that there is someone who is able to help with any situation we face. Please watch this Bible verse and notice what it says about “the inexperienced one.” [He shows Psalm 19:7 from fg 11:1, beginning after the sign “STRONG,” starting with “JEHOVAH INFORM” to the end of the verse.] Did you notice what it says about “the inexperienced one” receiving help?

Non-Witness: I saw that someone teaches the inexperienced one to be wise but I did not catch who the teacher was. Was it J-something?

Witness: Let me show you again. [He shows Psalm 19:7, beginning after the sign “STRONG,” showing just the signs “JEHOVAH INFORM REMIND.”]

Non-Witness: I caught it this time. It says that Jehovah teaches them.

Witness: Yes, Jehovah is the name of God. His teaching is the most helpful we could ever receive. How do we receive his teaching? Through the Bible [signed “JESUS BOOK”]. This DVD explains more in lesson 11 and has been very helpful to me. This copy is for you. Can I come back and discuss it with you after you have had opportunity to watch some of it?

Good News

Witness: After being troubled by observing the suffering of one group of people while those of another group seem to have relatively easy lives, some have come to the conclusion that God must be disregarding one group and showing partiality to the other. Have you felt that way before?

Non-Witness: I can understand how some people would feel that way, but I’m not sure.

Witness: The Bible reveals the truth about God in this matter. Let me show you. [He shows Acts 10:34, beginning after the sign “UNDERSTAND” to the end of the verse.] As we can see, God simply is not partial. When we see one group suffer and while others are at peace, we can know that it is not because God is partial.

Non-Witness: That is a good point, very interesting.

Witness: Now that we know God is not partial, would you like to know the real reason people suffer?

Non-Witness: Absolutely, I’d like to know, but do you know the answer?

Witness: God has provided the answer in the Bible and it is explained in lesson 8 of this sign-language DVD. When I come back we can discuss it.
