33 And they were seated before him, the firstborn according to his right as firstborn+ and the youngest according to his youngness; and the men kept looking at one another in amazement.

17 For he should recognize as the firstborn the hated one’s son by giving him two parts in everything he is found to have,+ because that one is the beginning of his generative power.+ The right of the firstborn’s position belongs to him.+

5 And the sons of Reuʹben+ the firstborn of Israel—for he was the firstborn;+ but for his profaning the lounge of his father+ his right as firstborn was given to the sons of Joseph+ the son of Israel, so that he was not to be enrolled genealogically for the right of the firstborn.
