30 Hence Jacob called the name of the place Pe·niʹel,*+ because, to quote him, “I have seen God face to face and yet my soul was delivered.”+

23 After that I must take my palm away, and you will indeed see my back.* But my face may not be seen.”+

8 Mouth to mouth I speak to him,+ thus showing him, and not by riddles;+ and the appearance of Jehovah is what he beholds.+ Why, then, did YOU not fear to speak against my servant, against Moses?”+

18 No man has seen God at any time;+ the only-begotten god*+ who is in the bosom [position]+ with the Father is the one that has explained him.+

46 Not that any man has seen the Father,+ except he who is from God; this one has seen the Father.+

38 This is he+ that came to be among the congregation+ in the wilderness with the angel+ that spoke to him on Mount Siʹnai and with our forefathers, and he received living sacred pronouncements+ to give YOU.
