9 you are to render service* and you must do all your work six days.+

13 “As for you, speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘Especially my sabbaths YOU are to keep,+ for it is a sign between me and YOU during YOUR generations that YOU may know that I Jehovah am sanctifying YOU.*+

15 And you must remember that you became a slave in the land of Egypt+ and Jehovah your God proceeded to bring you out from there with a strong hand and an outstretched arm.+ That is why Jehovah your God commanded you to carry on the sabbath day.+

22 And YOU must bring no load out of YOUR homes on the sabbath day; and no work at all must YOU do.+ And YOU must sanctify the sabbath day, just as I commanded YOUR forefathers;+

12 All considered, of how much more worth is a man than a sheep!+ So it is lawful to do a fine thing on the sabbath.”

15 However, the Lord* answered him and said: “Hypocrites,+ does not each one of YOU on the sabbath untie his bull or his ass from the stall and lead it away to give it drink?+
