36 And you will offer the bull of the sin offering daily for an atonement,+ and you must purify the altar from sin by your making atonement over it, and you must anoint+ it to sanctify it.

15 And Moses proceeded to slaughter+ it and take the blood+ and put it with his finger upon the horns of the altar round about and purify the altar from sin, but the rest of the blood he poured at the base of the altar, that he might sanctify it to make atonement+ upon it.

16 “And he must make atonement for the holy place concerning* the uncleannesses+ of the sons of Israel and concerning their revolts in all their sins;+ and that is the way he should do for the tent of meeting, which is residing with them in the midst of their uncleannesses.

23 Therefore it was necessary that the typical representations+ of the things in the heavens should be cleansed by these means,+ but the heavenly things themselves with sacrifices that are better than such sacrifices.
