20 When they go into the tent of meeting they will wash with water that they may not die, or when they go near the altar to minister in order to make an offering made by fire smoke to Jehovah.+

9 This very [tent] is an illustration*+ for the appointed time that is now here,+ and in keeping with it both gifts and sacrifices are offered.+ However, these are not able to make the [man] doing sacred service* perfect+ as respects his conscience,+

22 let us approach with true hearts in the full assurance of faith, having had our hearts sprinkled from a wicked conscience+ and our bodies bathed with clean water.+
