51 So Joseph called the name of the firstborn Ma·nasʹseh,*+ because, to quote him, “God* has made me forget all my trouble and all the house of my father.”+

5 And now your two sons who were born to you in the land of Egypt before I came here to you into Egypt, they are mine.+ Eʹphra·im and Ma·nasʹseh will become mine like Reuʹben and Simʹe·on.+
