35 And she became pregnant once more and brought a son to birth and then said: “This time I shall laud Jehovah.” She therefore called his name Judah.*+ After that she left off giving birth.
10 The scepter* will not turn aside from Judah,+ neither the commander’s staff* from between his feet,* until Shiʹloh* comes;+ and to him the obedience of the peoples will belong.*+
3 “And those camping eastward toward the sunrising will be the [three-tribe] division of the camp of Judah in their armies, and the chieftain for the sons of Judah is Nahʹshon+ the son of Am·minʹa·dab.
5 But one of the elders says to me: “Stop weeping. Look! The Lion that is of the tribe of Judah,+ the root+ of David,+ has conquered+ so as to open the scroll and its seven seals.”
