5 And now if YOU will strictly obey*+ my voice and will indeed keep my covenant,+ then YOU will certainly become* my special property out of all [other] peoples,+ because the whole earth belongs to me.+

2 Jehovah our God concluded a covenant with us in Hoʹreb.+

9 When I went up the mountain to receive the stone tablets,+ the tablets of the covenant that Jehovah had concluded with YOU,+ and I kept dwelling in the mountain forty days and forty nights,+ (I neither ate bread nor drank water,)

20 saying: “This is the blood of the covenant that God has laid as a charge upon YOU.”*+
