9 Then Moses wrote this law+ and gave it to the priests the sons of Leʹvi,+ the carriers of the ark of Jehovah’s covenant,+ and to all the older men of Israel.

8 This book of the law should not depart from your mouth,+ and you must in an undertone read in it day and night, in order that you may take care to do according to all that is written in it;+ for then you will make your way successful and then you will act wisely.+

14 Now while they were bringing out the money+ that was being brought to the house of Jehovah, Hil·kiʹah+ the priest found the book+ of Jehovah’s law+ by the hand of Moses.+

13 Just as it is written in the law of Moses,+ all this calamity—it has come upon us,+ and we have not softened the face of Jehovah our God* by turning back from our error+ and by showing insight into your trueness.+

4 “Remember, YOU people, the law of Moses my servant with which I commanded him in Hoʹreb concerning all Israel, even regulations and judicial decisions.*+
