4 For the sons of Joseph had become two tribes,+ Ma·nasʹseh+ and Eʹphra·im;+ and they had not given a share in the land to the Levites, except cities+ to dwell in and their pasture grounds for their livestock and their property.+

16 And the lot+ came out for the sons of Joseph+ from the Jordan+ at Jerʹi·cho to the waters of Jerʹi·cho eastward, the wilderness going up from Jerʹi·cho into the mountainous region of Bethʹel.+
