11 Further Jehovah’s angel added to her: “Here you are pregnant, and you shall give birth to a son and must call his name Ishʹma·el;*+ for Jehovah has heard your affliction.+

13 Now these are the names of the sons of Ishʹma·el, by their names, according to their family origins: Ishʹma·el’s firstborn Ne·baʹioth+ and Keʹdar+ and Adʹbe·el and Mibʹsam+

9 Hence Eʹsau went to Ishʹma·el* and took as wife Maʹha·lath the daughter of Ishʹma·el the son of Abraham, the sister of Ne·baʹioth, besides his other wives.+

28 Now men, Midʹi·an·ite merchants,+ went passing by. Hence they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the waterpit+ and then sold Joseph to the Ishʹma·el·ites for twenty silver pieces.+ Eventually these brought Joseph into Egypt.
