10 And they did not drive away the Caʹnaan·ites+ who were dwelling in Geʹzer,+ and the Caʹnaan·ites continue dwelling in among Eʹphra·im down to this day+ and came to be subject to slavish forced labor.+

12 And the sons of Ma·nasʹseh did not prove able to take possession of these cities,+ but the Caʹnaan·ites persisted in dwelling in this land.+

19 And Jehovah continued with Judah, so that he took possession of the mountainous region, but he could not dispossess the inhabitants of the low plain, because they had war chariots+ with iron scythes.*+
