8 “YOU must not do according to all that we are doing here today, each one whatever is right in his own eyes,+

28 “And it must occur that if you will without fail listen to the voice of Jehovah* your God by being careful to do all his commandments that I am commanding you today,+ Jehovah* your God also will certainly put you high above all other nations of the earth.+

25 In those days there was no king in Israel.+ What was right in his own eyes was what each one was accustomed to do.+
