30 And I must lie with my fathers,+ and you must carry me out of Egypt and bury me in their grave.”+ Accordingly he said: “I myself shall do in keeping with your word.”

32 Eventually Gidʹe·on the son of Joʹash died at a good old age and was buried in the burial place of Joʹash his father in Ophʹrah of the Abi-ezʹrites.+

31 Later his brothers and all the household of his father came on down and lifted him up and brought him up and buried him between Zoʹrah+ and Eshʹta·ol+ in the burial place of Ma·noʹah+ his father. As for him, he had judged Israel twenty years.+

23 As for A·hithʹo·phel, he saw that his counsel had not been acted upon,+ and he proceeded to saddle an ass and rise up and go off to his house at his own city.+ Then he gave commands to his household+ and strangled+ himself* and thus died.+ So he was buried+ in the burial place of his forefathers.

37 Let your servant return, please, and let me die+ in my city close by the burial place of my father and my mother.+ But here is your servant Chimʹham.+ Let him cross over with my lord the king; and you do to him what is good in your eyes.”
