13 ‘Good-for-nothing men* have gone out from your midst+ that they may try to turn away the inhabitants of their city,+ saying: “Let us go and serve other gods,” whom you have not known,’

12 Now the sons of Eʹli were good-for-nothing men;*+ they did not acknowledge Jehovah.+

17 And now know and see what you are going to do, for calamity has been determined+ against our master and against all his house, as he is too much of a good-for-nothing fellow*+ to speak to him.”
