36 And to his son I shall give one tribe, in order that David my servant may continue having a lamp always before me in Jerusalem,+ the city that I have chosen for myself to put my name there.+

7 And Jehovah did not want to bring the house of David to ruin,+ for the sake of the covenant+ that he had concluded with David, and just as he had said he would give him+ and his sons a lamp always.+

69 And he has raised up a horn+ of salvation* for us in the house of David his servant,

32 a light+ for removing the veil+ from the nations*+ and a glory of your people Israel.”

9 The true light+ that gives light+ to every sort of man+ was about to come into the world.*

12 Therefore Jesus spoke again to them, saying: “I am the light+ of the world. He that follows me will by no means walk in darkness,+ but will possess the light of life.”

16 “‘I, Jesus, sent my angel to bear witness to YOU people of these things for the congregations. I am the root+ and the offspring+ of David, and the bright morning star.’”+
