4 Accordingly Moses wrote down all the words of Jehovah.+ Then he got up early in the morning and built at the foot of the mountain an altar and twelve pillars corresponding with the twelve tribes of Israel.+

3 and command them, saying, ‘Take up for yourselves from the very middle of the Jordan, from the place where the priests’ feet stood motionless,+ twelve stones,+ and YOU must carry them over with YOU and deposit them in the lodging place+ in which you will lodge tonight.’”
