37 And he continued to do what was bad+ in Jehovah’s eyes, according to all that forefathers of his had done.+

12 And he continued to do what was bad+ in the eyes of Jehovah his God. He did not humble+ himself on account of Jeremiah+ the prophet+ at the order of Jehovah.

8 “‘And like the bad figs that cannot be eaten for badness,+ this in fact is what Jehovah has said: “So I shall give Zed·e·kiʹah+ the king of Judah and his princes and the remnant of Jerusalem who are remaining over in this land+ and those who are dwelling in the land of Egypt+—

2 And he himself and his servants and the people of the land* did not listen to the words of Jehovah+ that he spoke by means of Jeremiah the prophet.+

5 So King Zed·e·kiʹah said: “Look! He is in YOUR hands. For there is nothing at all in which the king himself can prevail against YOU.”+

25 “And as for you, O deadly wounded, wicked chieftain+ of Israel,+ whose day has come in the time of the error of [the] end,+
