12 Even to Zed·e·kiʹah*+ the king of Judah I spoke according to all these words,+ saying: “Bring YOUR necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon and serve him and his people and keep on living.+

9 And Ged·a·liʹah+ the son of A·hiʹkam+ the son of Shaʹphan+ proceeded to swear+ to them and to their men, saying: “Do not be afraid of serving the Chal·deʹans. Continue dwelling in the land and serve the king of Babylon, and it will go well with YOU.+
