9 And he proceeded to send to him a chief* of fifty with his fifty.+ When he went up to him, there he was sitting upon the top of the mountain. He now spoke to him: “Man of the [true] God,*+ the king himself has spoken, ‘Do come down.’”

55 In that hour Jesus said to the crowds: “Have YOU come out with swords and clubs as against a robber to arrest me?+ Day after day I used to sit in the temple+ teaching, and yet YOU did not take me into custody.
