28 Now men, Midʹi·an·ite merchants,+ went passing by. Hence they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the waterpit+ and then sold Joseph to the Ishʹma·el·ites for twenty silver pieces.+ Eventually these brought Joseph into Egypt.
15 Subsequently Pharʹaoh got to hear of this thing, and he attempted to kill Moses;+ but Moses ran away+ from Pharʹaoh that he might dwell in* the land of Midʹi·an;+ and he took a seat by a well.
7 So the older men of Moʹab and the older men of Midʹi·an traveled with the payments for divination+ in their hands and went to Baʹlaam+ and spoke to him Baʹlak’s words.
