20 And God’s spirit+ itself enveloped*+ Zech·a·riʹah+ the son of Je·hoiʹa·da+ the priest, so that he stood up above the people and said to them: “This is what the [true] God has said, ‘Why are YOU overstepping the commandments of Jehovah, so that YOU cannot prove successful?+ Because YOU have left Jehovah, he will, in turn, leave YOU.’”+

5 This is what Jehovah has said: “What have YOUR fathers found in me that was unjust,+ so that they have become far off from me,+ and they kept walking after the vain idol+ and becoming vain themselves?+
