3 And he continued to read+ aloud from it before the public square that is before the Water Gate, from daybreak+ till midday, in front of the men and the women and the other intelligent ones; and the ears+ of all the people were [attentive]+ to the book of the law.

26 He said to him: “What is written in the Law?+ How do you read?”

15 After the public reading of the Law+ and of the Prophets the presiding officers+ of the synagogue sent out to them, saying: “Men, brothers, if there is any word of encouragement for the people that YOU have, tell it.”

21 For from ancient times* Moses has had in city after city those who preach him, because he is read aloud in the synagogues on every sabbath.”+
