11 He said these things, and after this he said to them: “Lazʹa·rus our friend has gone to rest, but I am journeying there to awaken him from sleep.”+

60 Then, bending his knees, he cried out with a strong voice: “Jehovah,* do not charge this sin against them.”+ And after saying this he fell asleep [in death].

20 However, now Christ has been raised up from the dead,+ the firstfruits+ of those who have fallen asleep [in death].+

4 and saying:+ “Where is this promised presence* of his?+ Why, from the day our forefathers fell asleep [in death], all things are continuing exactly as from creation’s beginning.”+
