1 There happened to be a man* in the land of Uz+ whose name was Job;*+ and that man proved to be blameless+ and upright,+ and fearing God+ and turning aside from bad.+

2 The one walking in his uprightness is fearing Jehovah,+ but the one crooked in his ways is despising Him.+

11 Truly I say to YOU people, Among those born of women+ there has not been raised up a greater than John the Baptist;* but a person that is a lesser one in the kingdom+ of the heavens is greater than he is.

6 They both were righteous+ before God because of walking blamelessly+ in accord with all the commandments+ and legal+ requirements of Jehovah.*+
