10 Then they came to the threshing floor+ of Aʹtad,* which is in the region of the Jordan,+ and there they carried on a very great and heavy wailing and he kept up the mourning rites for his father seven days.+

38 So they came to the house of the presiding officer of the synagogue, and he beheld the noisy confusion and those weeping and letting out many wails,
