16 Underneath will his very roots dry up,+

And, up above, his bough will wither.

10 Their fruitage you will destroy from the very earth,+

And their offspring* from the sons of men.*+

28 For Jehovah is a lover of justice,+

And he will not leave his loyal ones.+

ע [ʽAʹyin]

To* time indefinite they will certainly be guarded;+

But as for the offspring of the wicked ones, they will indeed be cut off.+

13 Let his posterity be for cutting off.+

In the following generation let their name be wiped out.+

 8 O daughter of Babylon, who are to be despoiled,+

Happy will he be that rewards you+

With your own treatment with which you treated us.+
