1 The vision+ of Isaiah*+ the son of Aʹmoz* that he visioned concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uz·ziʹah,*+ Joʹtham,*+ Aʹhaz*+ [and] Hez·e·kiʹah,*+ kings of Judah:+

13 The pronouncement against Babylon*+ that Isaiah* the son of Aʹmoz+ saw in vision:

5 For it is the day of confusion+ and of downtreading+ and of confounding+ that the Sovereign Lord, Jehovah of armies, has in the valley of the vision.* There is the demolisher of the wall,+ and the cry* to the mountain.+

6 For this is what Jehovah of armies has said: “Cut down wood*+ and throw up against Jerusalem a siege rampart.+ She is the city with which an accounting must be held.+ She is nothing but oppression in the midst of her.+
