29 Furthermore, they called the name of the city Dan by the name of their father, Dan,+ who had been born to Israel.+ Nevertheless, Laʹish was the city’s name at first.+

20 Consequently all the sons of Israel went out+ and the assembly congregated themselves as one man,+ from Dan+ down to Beʹer-sheʹba*+ along with the land of Gilʹe·ad,+ to Jehovah at Mizʹpah.+

16 From Dan+ has been heard the snorting of his horses. Due to the sound of the neighing of his stallions the whole land has begun to rock.+ And they come in and eat up the land* and what fills it, the city and its inhabitants.”
