19 “And it must occur that when someone has heard the words of this oath,+ and he has blessed himself in his heart, saying, ‘I shall come to have peace,+ although I shall walk in the stubbornness of my heart,’+ with the intention of sweeping away the well-watered one along with the thirsty ones,

23 But this very people has come to have a stubborn and rebellious heart; they have turned aside and keep walking in their course.+

17 They are saying again and again to those who are disrespectful of me, ‘Jehovah has spoken: “Peace is what YOU people will come to have.”’+ And [to] every one walking in the stubbornness of his heart+ they have said, ‘No calamity will come upon YOU people.’+

7 But as for the house of Israel, they will not want to listen to you, for they are not wanting to listen to me;+ because all those of the house of Israel are hardheaded* and hardhearted.+

16 For, like a stubborn cow, Israel has become stubborn.+ Is it now that Jehovah will shepherd them like a young ram in a roomy place?

12 And their heart+ they set as an emery stone to keep from obeying the law+ and the words that Jehovah of armies sent by his spirit,+ by means of the former prophets;+ so that there occurred great indignation on the part of Jehovah of armies.”+
