36 Jehovah will march you+ and your king+ whom you will set up over you to a nation whom you have not known, neither you nor your forefathers; and there you will have to serve other gods, of wood and of stone.+
15 Thus he took Je·hoiʹa·chin+ into exile to Babylon;+ and the king’s mother+ and the king’s wives and his court officials+ and the foremost men of the land he led away as exiled people from Jerusalem to Babylon.
7 And Zed·e·kiʹah’s sons they slaughtered before his eyes,+ and Zed·e·kiʹah’s eyes he blinded,+ after which he bound him with copper fetters+ and brought him to Babylon.+
7 ‘And some of your own sons that will come forth from you, to whom you will become father, will themselves be taken+ and actually become court officials+ in the palace of the king of Babylon.’”+
9 Then they seized the king and brought him up to the king of Babylon+ at Ribʹlah+ in the land of Haʹmath,+ that he might pronounce upon him judicial decisions.+
13 And I shall certainly spread my net over him, and he must be caught in my hunting net;+ and I will bring him to Babylon,* to the land of the Chal·deʹans,+ but it he will not see; and there he will die.+
