16 A leader that is in want of true discernment is also abundant in fraudulent practices,+ but he that is hating unjust profit+ will prolong [his] days.

32 Look! A king+ will reign for righteousness+ itself; and as respects princes,*+ they will rule as princes for justice itself.

17 Instead of the copper I shall bring in gold,+ and instead of the iron I shall bring in silver, and instead of the wood, copper, and instead of the stones, iron; and I will appoint peace as your overseers*+ and righteousness as your task assigners.+

17 ‘Assuredly your eyes and your heart are upon nothing but upon your unjust gain,+ and upon the blood of the innocent one in order to shed [it],+ and upon defrauding and upon extortion in order to carry [them] on.’

5 “Look! There are days coming,” is the utterance of Jehovah, “and I will raise up to David a righteous sprout.+ And a king will certainly reign+ and act with discretion and execute justice and righteousness in the land.+

27 Her princes in the midst of her are like wolves tearing prey in shedding blood,+ in destroying souls* for the purpose of making unjust gain.+

18 And the chieftain should not take any of the inheritance of the people so as to force them out of their possession.+ From his own possession he should give his sons an inheritance, to the end that my people may not be scattered each one from his possession.’”+

3 And I proceeded to say: “Hear, please, YOU heads of Jacob and YOU commanders of the house of Israel.+ Is it not YOUR business to know justice?+
