23 With that he took his brothers with him and went chasing+ after him for a distance of seven days’ journey and caught up with him in the mountainous region of Gilʹe·ad.

32 Now the sons of Reuʹben+ and the sons of Gad+ had come to have numerous livestock, very many, in fact. And they began to see the land of Jaʹzer+ and the land of Gilʹe·ad, and, look! the place was a place for livestock.

8 Hence they shattered and heavily oppressed the sons of Israel in that year—for eighteen years all the sons of Israel that were on the side of the Jordan in the land of the Amʹor·ites that was in Gilʹe·ad.
