33 “Serpents, offspring of vipers,+ how are YOU to flee from the judgment of Ge·henʹna?*+

7 Therefore he began to say to the crowds coming out to be baptized by him: “YOU offspring of vipers,+ who has intimated to YOU to flee from the coming wrath?+

23 Woe to the pregnant women and the ones suckling a baby in those days!+ For there will be great necessity upon the land* and wrath on this people;

5 But according to your hardness+ and unrepentant heart+ you are storing up wrath+ for yourself on the day of wrath+ and of the revealing+ of God’s righteous judgment.+

17 because the great day+ of their wrath+ has come, and who is able to stand?”+
