39 and, after stepping in, he said to them: “Why are YOU causing noisy confusion and weeping? The young child has not died, but is sleeping.”+

11 He said these things, and after this he said to them: “Lazʹa·rus our friend has gone to rest, but I am journeying there to awaken him from sleep.”+

60 Then, bending his knees, he cried out with a strong voice: “Jehovah,* do not charge this sin against them.”+ And after saying this he fell asleep [in death].

36 For David,+ on the one hand, served the express will of God in his own generation and fell asleep [in death] and was laid with his forefathers and did see corruption.+
