8 So now it was not YOU who sent me here,+ but it was the [true] God, that he might appoint me a father+ to Pharʹaoh and a lord for all his house and as one dominating over all the land of Egypt.

17 By the decree of watchers*+ the thing is, and [by] the saying of holy ones the request is, to the intent that people living may know that the Most High is Ruler* in the kingdom of mankind*+ and that to the one whom he wants to, he gives it+ and he sets up over it even the lowliest one of mankind.”*+

53 While I was with YOU in the temple+ day after day YOU did not stretch out YOUR hands against me.+ But this is YOUR hour+ and the authority+ of darkness.”+

30 Hence they began seeking to get hold of him,+ but no one laid a hand upon him, because his hour+ had not yet come.

18 No man has taken* it away from me, but I surrender it of my own initiative. I have authority to surrender it, and I have authority to receive it again.+ The commandment+ on this I received from my Father.”

2 Therefore he who opposes* the authority has taken a stand against the arrangement of God; those who have taken a stand against it will receive judgment to themselves.+

7 And there was granted+ it to wage war with the holy ones and conquer them,*+ and authority was given it over every tribe and people and tongue and nation.
