2 And he went on to say: “Take, please, your son, your only son whom you so love,+ Isaac,+ and make a trip to the land of Mo·riʹah+ and there offer him up as a burnt offering on one of the mountains that I shall designate to you.”+

16 and to say: “‘By myself I do swear,’ is the utterance of Jehovah,+ ‘that by reason of the fact that you have done this thing and you have not withheld your son, your only one,+

8 But God recommends his own love+ to us in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.+

32 He who did not even spare his own Son+ but delivered him up for us all,+ why will he not also with him kindly give us all other things?+

9 By this the love of God was made manifest in our case,+ because God sent forth his only-begotten* Son+ into the world that we might gain life through him.+
