30 I cannot do a single thing of my own initiative;* just as I hear, I judge; and the judgment that I render is righteous,+ because I seek, not my own will, but the will+ of him that sent me.

28 Therefore Jesus said: “When once YOU have lifted up+ the Son of man,+ then YOU will know that I am [he],+ and that I do nothing of my own initiative;*+ but just as the Father taught me I speak these things.+

49 because I have not spoken out of my own impulse, but the Father himself who sent me has given me a commandment as to what to tell and what to speak.+
