46 But, although they were seeking to seize him, they feared the crowds, because these held him to be a prophet.+

16 Now fear+ seized them all, and they began to glorify God, saying: “A great prophet+ has been raised up among us,” and, “God has turned his attention to his people.”+

14 Hence when the men saw the signs he performed, they began to say: “This is for a certainty the prophet+ that was to come into the world.”

16 Therefore some of the Pharisees began to say: “This is not a man from God, because he does not observe the Sabbath.”+ Others began to say: “How can a man that is a sinner perform signs+ of that sort?” So there was a division+ among them.
