5 Jesus answered: “Most truly I say to you, Unless anyone is born from water+ and spirit,*+ he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

14 For all who are led by God’s spirit, these are God’s sons.+

23 Not only that, but we ourselves also who have the firstfruits,+ namely, the spirit, yes, we ourselves groan+ within ourselves, while we are earnestly waiting for adoption as sons,*+ the release from our bodies by ransom.

17 Consequently if anyone is in union with Christ, he is a new creation;*+ the old things passed away,+ look! new things have come into existence.+

4 For it is impossible as regards those who have once for all been enlightened,+ and who have tasted the heavenly free gift,+ and who have become partakers of holy spirit,+
