3 for, because of not knowing the righteousness of God+ but seeking to establish their own,+ they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God.+

9 Furthermore, we used to have fathers who were of our flesh to discipline us,+ and we used to give them respect. Shall we not much more subject ourselves to the Father of our spiritual life* and live?+

17 Honor [men] of all sorts,+ have love for the whole association of brothers,*+ be in fear of God,+ have honor for the king.+
