3 In answer Jesus said to him:+ “Most truly I say to you, Unless anyone is born again,*+ he cannot see the kingdom of God.”+

17 Consequently if anyone is in union with Christ, he is a new creation;*+ the old things passed away,+ look! new things have come into existence.+

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,+ for according to his great mercy he gave us a new birth*+ to a living hope+ through the resurrection+ of Jesus Christ from the dead,

9 Everyone who has been born* from God does not carry on sin,+ because His [reproductive] seed remains in such one, and he cannot practice sin, because he has been born from God.+
