15 And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection+ of both the righteous and the unrighteous.+ 16 Because of this I always strive to maintain a clear* conscience before God and men.+

12 For the thing we boast of is this, our conscience bears witness that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially toward you, with holiness and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom,+ but with God’s undeserved kindness.

18 Keep praying for us, for we trust we have an honest* conscience, as we wish to conduct ourselves honestly in all things.+

16 Maintain a good conscience,+ so that in whatever way you are spoken against, those who speak against you may be put to shame+ because of your good conduct as followers of Christ.+
