SECTION 3
The Days of the Messiah and His Followers
This section covers a period of about one century. Early on, we read about the humble Jewish virgin named Mary, who was entrusted with one of the weightiest assignments that Jehovah has ever given any imperfect human, and we come down to the last days of Jesus’ beloved apostle John. On the way, we consider such outstanding examples of courage as John the Baptist, the apostle Peter, Mary Magdalene, Stephen, and the apostle Paul. They faced such challenges as announcing that Jesus was the Messiah while most of their own people rejected him, following in his footsteps in the face of persecution, and sharing Jesus’ message of good news despite opposition and hatred.
