44 ὁ The δὲ but Πειλᾶτος Pilate ἐθαύμασεν wondered εἰ if ἤδη already τέθνηκεν, he has died, καὶ and προσκαλεσάμενος having called toward himself τὸν the κεντυρίωνα centurion ἐπηρώτησεν he inquired upon αὐτὸν him εἰ if ἤδη already ἀπέθανεν· he died;
