    • 24 ἰδὼν Having seen δὲ but ὁ the Πειλᾶτος Pilate ὅτι that οὐδὲν nothing ὠφελεῖ benefits ἀλλὰ but μᾶλλον rather θόρυβος uproar γίνεται is occurring λαβὼν having taken ὕδωρ water ἀπενίψατο he washed off τὰς the χεῖρας hands κατέναντι down opposite τοῦ the ὄχλου crowd λέγων saying ᾿Αθῷός Innocent εἰμι I am ἀπὸ from τοῦ the αἵματος blood τούτου· of this (one); ὑμεῖς YOU ὄψεσθε. YOU will see.
