If the Heb. word ʼe·limʹ is pl. of ʼel to denote majesty, then it means “God.” T, “you bands of angels, the sons of God”; LXX, “you sons of God”; SyVg, “you sons of rams.” Compare 89:6 ftn and Da 11:36 where the expression ʼEl ʼe·limʹ, “God of gods,” occurs.
