Footnote
f In Isaiah 46:11, the Hebrew word for “bird of prey” is ʽa·itʹ, and it corresponds with the word for “eagle” found in the Greek LXX, namely, a·e·tosʹ, as in Lamentations 4:19 and Jeremiah 4:13. The Hebrews called the “bird of prey” by the name ʽa·itʹ because of its rushing upon the prey with screams, as indicated by the Hebrew verb root. (1 Sam. 15:19)—See Gesenius’ Hebrew-Chaldee Lexicon.
