      1 God made the heavens and the earth.—Genesis 1:1

      2 God has a name. His name is Jehovah.—Psalm 83:18

      Jehovah lives in heaven. He is a spirit. You cannot see him.—Isaiah 66:1; John 1:18; 4:24

      3 Jehovah God made many angels in heaven. They are also spirits. They were all good. In the past they sometimes took on human form so that men could see them.—Hebrews 1:7

      4 Jehovah made the animals a long time ago, before he made man.—Genesis 1:25

      5 Jehovah also made a man named Adam and his wife named Eve.—Genesis 1:27

      God placed them in a beautiful garden, or paradise. He made only one wife for Adam. The man was to stay with his one wife.—Genesis 2:8, 21, 22, 24

      6 Man is a soul.—Genesis 2:7

      7 Animals are souls.—Genesis 1:24

      8 Jehovah God wanted man to make the whole earth beautiful—a paradise for all to enjoy.—Genesis 1:28

      Humans could have lived forever, if Adam and Eve had obeyed Jehovah. They were told not to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and bad.—Genesis 2:15-17

      9 An angel became bad and used a serpent to cause Eve and Adam to disobey God.—Genesis 3:1-6

      10 The angel that deceived Eve came to be called ‘the original serpent, Devil and Satan.’—Revelation 12:9

      11 Jehovah drove that disobedient pair out of paradise.—Genesis 3:23, 24

      12 Adam and Eve had children, but the whole family was not happy.—Genesis 3:17, 18

      13 They had to grow old and die, as Jehovah had said.—Genesis 3:19; Romans 5:12

      14 So they died like the animals.

      All souls on earth die.—Ecclesiastes 3:18-20; Ezekiel 18:4

      15 When man dies, he returns to the dust. He does not know anything anymore.—Psalm 146:4

      Dead people cannot talk to you or do anything.—Ecclesiastes 9:5, 10

      16 But many angels became bad. Now they pretend to be people who have died. They want to make us believe we do not really die.—Genesis 6:1, 2; Jude 6

      17 So Jehovah God does not want us to believe those bad angels, called demons.—Exodus 22:18; Deuteronomy 18:10, 11; 32:17

      He does not want us to carry on voodoo, witchcraft or juju.—Galatians 5:19-21

      18 Adam’s offspring became many. They also became very bad. God decided to destroy them.—Genesis 6:1, 5, 7

      19 But there was a good man named Noah.—Genesis 6:8, 9

      Jehovah God told him to build a very big boat in which he and his family would be saved when the bad people were being destroyed. This boat was shaped like a big box. It was called an ark.—Genesis 6:13, 14

      20 They took many animals into the ark.—Genesis 6:19-21

      21 Jehovah caused a very big rain to fall. All the bad people died. Those in the ark were saved. Do you know why?—Genesis 6:17; 7:11, 12, 21; 1 Peter 3:10-12

      22 People today are very bad, too. What bad things are being done here?

      23 Some kill other people. God says you must not do this.—Exodus 20:13; 1 John 3:11, 12

      24 Some steal. God says you must not steal.—Exodus 20:15; Ephesians 4:28

      25 Some people marry many wives. Others live with two or more women in separate homes. Still other couples live together without being married at all. This is all against what the Bible says.—Matthew 19:4-6; 1 Corinthians 7:1-4; 1 Timothy 3:1, 2

      26 Do you remember that God gave Adam only one wife?—Genesis 2:22, 24

      27 Some worship idols. God says you must not use idols or images in worship.—Exodus 20:4, 5; Isaiah 44:9-17; 1 John 5:21

      28 Jehovah will destroy the bad ones who do not change.—Psalm 37:9, 10; Luke 13:5; 1 Corinthians 6:9, 10

      29 The first spirit person God made was like a firstborn son to him.

      God loves him very much and will use him to destroy bad people and save obedient ones.—John 3:16, 36

      30 Jehovah sent his Son to be born on earth. He was named Jesus. His mother’s name was Mary.—Luke 1:30-35

      31 When Jesus grew up he taught many good things. He taught that Jehovah alone is the true God.—Mark 12:29, 30

      Jesus said that we should worship only Jehovah.—Matthew 4:10; John 4:23, 24

      He also taught people about Jehovah’s kingdom.—Luke 17:20, 21

      32 Jesus healed the sick and did many good things. He did not do bad things.—Acts 10:38; 1 Peter 2:21, 22

      But how would he save us from sin and death?

      33 He had to offer a sacrifice to God to save good people. In the past, God told people to sacrifice animals for their sins.—Hebrews 7:25, 27

      34 Jesus did not sacrifice animals. He gave himself as a sacrifice for us.—Matthew 20:28; Hebrews 10:12

      35 Do you remember that Adam, the first man, sinned? He lost life and paradise, and all of us die, too, because we are his children.—Romans 5:12; 3:23

      36 We could get back this perfect life, if another perfect man gave up his life for us, or ransomed us from death.—1 Corinthians 15:45; Romans 5:19, 21

      37 Jesus was God’s Son. He was a perfect man. He did not sin.—Hebrews 5:9; 7:26

      38 He allowed himself to be killed by people who did not love God.—Acts 2:23

      This was a sacrifice of himself for us.—1 Timothy 2:6

      39 Jesus was buried in a carved-out cave or tomb. He was dead for three days. Then God raised him up.—Acts 2:24

      40 He went back to heaven. He can now ask God to help those who obey God.—Hebrews 9:24; 1 John 2:1, 2

      41 Jehovah made Jesus King in heaven.—Isaiah 9:6; Daniel 7:13, 14; Acts 2:32-36

      42 He will rule over the whole earth.—Daniel 7:14; Matthew 28:18

      43 Do you remember what will happen to the bad people?—Psalm 37:9, 10; Luke 13:5

      44 Do you remember the name of the first angel that sinned? Jesus will remove him and the other bad angels. Their idols and images will be destroyed.—Hebrews 2:14; Revelation 20:2, 10

      45 Jesus will do many good things for the obedient people.—Hebrews 5:9

      46 No one will be sick anymore.—Isaiah 33:24; Revelation 22:1, 2

      Do you remember how Jesus healed sick people?

      47 Everybody will have good things.—Isaiah 65:17, 21-23

      48 God remembers even people who have died. He will use Jesus to bring them back to life again. This is called the resurrection.—John 5:28, 29; 11:25

      49 After bad people are all killed off, nobody will die anymore. Even the wild animals will not be dangerous. Everyone will be happy forever.—Revelation 21:4; Isaiah 65:25; Psalm 37:11, 29

      50 Do you want to live forever in that beautiful paradise?

      Then learn more about what God says. Try to learn to read the Bible.—John 17:3; Revelation 1:3

      51 Learn more about Jesus.—Deuteronomy 18:18, 19; John 3:16; Acts 3:19-23

      52 Try to do only good things and obey Jehovah.—Romans 6:17, 18, 22

      53 Remember, Jehovah says we must not kill people.—Exodus 20:13; 1 John 3:11, 12

      54 We must not take things that belong to other people.—Exodus 20:15; Ephesians 4:28

      55 A man should not live and sleep with a woman unless she is his own wife.—Exodus 20:14, 17; 1 Thessalonians 4:3

      56 Do you remember how many wives God allows a husband to have? How long should a husband stay with his wife?—Genesis 2:22, 24; Matthew 19:5, 6; 1 Corinthians 7:2, 10, 11

      57 Remember, too, that we must worship only Jehovah.—Matthew 4:10; 1 Corinthians 8:6

      58 Idols and images cannot help us. Why?—1 Corinthians 8:4

      Is it good to have idols?—Deuteronomy 27:15; 1 John 5:21

      59 Why is it bad to have charms and use juju?—Deuteronomy 18:10-13; Revelation 21:8

      60 The bad angels or demons rebelled against God. They use fortune-tellers to mislead humans.—Acts 16:16

      61 We must pray to God. Prayer means to talk to God, to tell him we want to serve him and to ask for his help.—Philippians 4:6, 7

      62 We must obey Jesus and put faith in him.—Hebrews 5:9; John 3:16

      63 Remember that he died to save us.—Romans 5:8

      64 Remember that Jesus is our invisible King. We should obey him.—Philippians 2:9-11; Revelation 19:16

      65 Jesus said that you should tell others about the good things you are learning and that those who want to serve God should be baptized.—Matthew 28:19, 20; John 4:7-15

      66 So you can talk to your friends about these good things.—Matthew 10:32

      67 If you learn to read well, you can learn many more things and will be able to help others better.—2 Timothy 2:15

      68 Jesus also taught little children to obey God. He was never too busy to talk to them.—Matthew 19:13-15

      69 Parents should always teach their children to obey God and love him.—Deuteronomy 6:6, 7; Proverbs 6:20-22; Ephesians 6:4

      70 There are many different churches. Many of their teachings are not from the Bible. Jehovah tells us to leave religions that do not teach the truth.—Revelation 18:4; John 4:23, 24

      71 Jehovah has people on earth who can teach you more about him. Do you know who they are?—Acts 15:14; Romans 10:14, 15

      72 They are Jehovah’s Witnesses. They have peace among themselves. Do you know why? Because they love one another.—Isaiah 43:10-12; John 13:34, 35

      73 Because they also love Jehovah, they have been baptized. This is how they show publicly that they have left their bad way of life and want to spend their lives serving God.—Acts 2:41

      74 Jehovah’s Witnesses hope to live in the beautiful new paradise.—Psalm 37:9-11, 29

      What can you do so as to live there with them?—James 1:22, 25; 2:20-26

      75 Join with them in learning to serve Jehovah. They love and obey Jehovah and Christ Jesus. Do you love them? Would you like to help others to know about God?—John 6:45-47

      76 Jehovah and Christ Jesus love you and want you to live forever in paradise.—John 3:16
